Battery Sensor Description and Operation

~1min read

Description

Vehicles have many control units that consume a large amount of electrical power. These units control their own systems based on information from various sensors. It is important to have a stable power supply, since different sensors provide different information. The battery sensor (A) is installed on the battery (-) terminal. It transmits battery voltage, current and temperature information to the ECM. The ECM controls the generating voltage by duty cycle based on these signals.
