1. Cruise Indicator
2. Cruise Control Indicator
The cruise control system allows you to program the vehicle to maintain a constant speed without pressing the accelerator pedal.
This system is designed to operate above approximately 30 km/h.
WARNING
- If the cruise control indicator remains illuminated (cruise control is on), the cruise control may be turned on accidentally. Keep the cruise control system switched off when you are not using cruise control to avoid setting the speed unintentionally.
- Use the cruise control system only on open highways in good weather.
- Do not use cruise control when it may be unsafe to keep the vehicle at a constant speed, such as driving in heavy or variable traffic, on slippery (wet, icy, or snowy) or winding roads, or on grades steeper than 6% or on access roads.
- Pay particular attention to driving conditions when using the cruise control system.
- Be careful when driving downhill with the cruise control system, as this may increase vehicle speed.
CAUTION
When driving at cruise speed with a manual transmission vehicle, do not shift to neutral without depressing the clutch pedal, as this will overload the engine. If this happens, depress the clutch pedal or release the cruise control ON/OFF switch.
✽ NOTICE
- During normal cruise control operation, when the SET switch is activated or reactivated after applying the brake, cruise control will engage after approximately 3 seconds. This delay is normal.
- To activate cruise control, press the brake pedal at least once after turning the ignition key to the ON position or starting the engine. This checks whether the brake switch, which is an important part for canceling cruise control, is in normal condition.
