WARNING! Working on Lights

Before working on the lights, firmly apply the parking brake, make sure the ignition key is turned to the "LOCK" position (smart key: turn the engine off), and turn off the lights to avoid sudden vehicle movement and to avoid burning your fingers or receiving an electric shock.

Use only bulbs of the specified wattage.

CAUTION

Be sure to replace a burned-out bulb with one of the same power rating. Otherwise, this may cause damage to the fuse or electrical wiring system.

CAUTION

  • If you do not have the necessary tools, correct bulbs, and expertise, we recommend that you consult an authorized Kia dealer. In many cases, replacing vehicle bulbs is difficult because other vehicle parts must be removed before you can reach the bulb. This is especially true if you need to remove the headlamp assembly to access the bulb(s).
Removing/installing the headlamp assembly may damage the vehicle.
  • Do not install an additional bulb or LED. If you do, the lamp may not operate properly, and the fuse box or wiring system may have a problem.

✽ NOTICE

After driving in heavy rain or washing the vehicle, the headlamp and taillamp lenses may appear cloudy. This condition is caused by the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the lamp. It is similar to condensation on your windows inside the vehicle during rain and does not indicate a problem with your vehicle. If water enters the lamp circuit, we recommend that the system be inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
