Inspection
Signal Circuit Inspection- Check the ignition lock switch pull-up voltage.
- IG KEY "OFF", ENGINE "OFF".
- Disconnect the ignition lock switch connector.
- Turn the IG switch to ON.
- Measure the voltage between the signal terminal of the ignition lock switch harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: 11.5 V ~ 13.0 V
- Check for an open circuit in the ignition lock switch signal circuit.
- IG KEY "OFF", ENGINE "OFF".
- Disconnect the ignition lock switch connector and the ECM connector.
- Check the continuity between the signal terminal of the ignition lock switch harness connector and the ECM harness connector.
Specification: Continuity (below 1.0 Ω)
- IG KEY "OFF", ENGINE "OFF".
- Disconnect the ignition lock switch connector.
- Check the continuity between terminal 1 of the clutch interlock switch signal connector and ground.
Specification: Continuity (below 1.0 Ω)
- Remove the ignition switch.
- Push the ignition switch in the direction of the arrow and check for continuity between the terminals. (See table below) Standard value: Full stroke (A): 12.0 ± 0.3 mm (0.4724 ± 0.0118 in.) On-off point (B): 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.)

Removal
- Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
- Disconnect the ignition switch connector (A).

- Remove the ignition switch by loosening the nut (A).

Installation
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Adjust the clutch pedal switch.
- In the full stroke state, adjust the clearance by turning the adjusting nut (A) to the standard clearance range. Standard clearance range: Gasoline: 3 ~ 4 mm (0.1181 ~ 0.1575 in.) Diesel: 1 ~ 2 mm (0.0394 ~ 0.0787 in.)
- Tighten the nut (B) to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 7.8 ~ 9.8 N·m (0.8 ~ 1.0 kgf·m, 5.8 ~ 7.2 lbf·ft)
