WARNING - Windshield Heating

Do not use the position during cooling in extremely humid weather. The difference between the outside air temperature and the windshield may cause the outer surface of the windshield to fog up, resulting in reduced visibility. In this case, set the mode selection to the position and set the blower speed to a lower speed.

  • For maximum defrosting, set the temperature control to the warmest position and the blower speed to the highest speed.
  • If warm air is required at the floor during defrosting or defogging, set the mode to the floor defrost position.
  • Before driving, remove all snow and ice from the windshield, rear window, outside mirrors and all side windows.
  • Clear snow and ice from the hood and the air intake grille under the hood to improve heater and defroster efficiency and reduce the possibility of fogging on the inside of the windshield.
