The rear parking assist system helps the driver when reversing by sounding a warning if an object is detected within 120 cm (47 in.) behind the vehicle. This system is a supplementary system and does not replace the need for extreme caution and attention of the driver.

The detection range and objects detectable by the rear sensors are limited. When reversing, pay as much attention to what is behind you as you would in a vehicle without the rear parking assist system.

WARNING

The rear parking assist system is only a supplementary function. The operation of the rear parking assist system may be affected by several factors (including environmental conditions). It is the driver's responsibility to always check the area behind the vehicle before and while reversing.
