Integrated Drive Mode Control System

■ Type A

■ Type B

■ Type C
The drive mode can be selected according to driver preference or road conditions.
The mode changes each time the DRIVE MODE button is pressed.

ECO Mode (Active ECO)

Active ECO helps improve fuel efficiency by controlling certain engine and transmission operating parameters. Fuel efficiency depends on the driver's driving style and road conditions.
- When the DRIVE MODE button is pressed and ECO mode is selected, the ECO indicator (green) will illuminate, showing that Active ECO is operating.
- When Active ECO is activated, it does not turn off even if the engine is restarted. To turn off the system, press the DRIVE MODE button again.
When Active ECO is activated:
- Acceleration may be slightly reduced even when the accelerator pedal is fully depressed.
- Air conditioner performance may be limited.
- The automatic transmission shift pattern may change.
- Engine noise may become louder.
The above situations are normal conditions when the Active Eco System is activated to improve fuel efficiency.
Active ECO operation limitations:
If the following conditions occur while Active ECO is operating, system operation is limited even if the ECO indicator has not changed.
- When the engine coolant temperature is low:
System operation will be limited until the engine reaches normal operating temperature. - When driving uphill: The system will limit the power increase when driving uphill, because engine torque is limited.
- When using manual mode: The system will be limited depending on the gear position.
- If the accelerator pedal is fully depressed for several seconds, the system will be limited based on the driver's intention to accelerate.
SPORT Mode

SPORT mode focuses on dynamic driving by automatically adjusting the steering wheel, engine and transmission system.
- When the DRIVE MODE button is pressed and SPORT mode is selected, the SPORT indicator (yellow) will illuminate.
- When SPORT mode is activated and the engine start/stop button is turned OFF and then ON, the system will switch to NORMAL mode. To activate SPORT mode again, press the DRIVE MODE button once more.
- If the system is activated:
- While holding vehicle speed, it maintains gear and engine speed for a period of time even though the accelerator pedal is not depressed.
- Upshifting is delayed.
✽ NOTICE
Fuel efficiency may decrease in SPORT driving mode.
