What to Do in an Emergency

Introduction

With the Tire Mobility Kit (TMK), you can remain mobile even after experiencing a tire puncture.

The system compressor and sealant effectively seal most punctures in passenger car tires caused by nails or similar objects, and re-inflate the tire.

After confirming that the tire is securely sealed, you may carefully drive on the tire at a maximum speed of 50 mph (80 km/h) to reach a vehicle or tire dealer for tire replacement.

Some tires, especially those with large punctures or sidewall damage, may not be fully sealed.

Loss of tire air pressure may adversely affect its performance. For this reason, avoid sudden steering or other driving maneuvers, especially if the vehicle is heavily loaded or towing a trailer. The Tire Mobility Kit is not designed or intended for permanent tire repair and must be used only for one tire.

This procedure shows step by step how to temporarily seal a puncture.
