Scheduled Maintenance

~1min read

Follow the normal maintenance schedule if the vehicle is normally operated under none of the following conditions. If any of the following conditions apply, follow the "Severe Duty Maintenance" schedule.

  • Frequent short trips of less than 8 km (5 miles) in normal temperatures or less than 16 km (10 miles) in freezing temperatures
  • Extended engine idling or low-speed driving over long distances
  • Driving on rough, dusty, muddy, unpaved, gravel, or salt-treated roads
  • Driving in areas using salt or other corrosive materials, or in very cold weather
  • Driving in severely dusty conditions
  • Driving in heavy stop-and-go traffic
  • Repeated driving uphill, downhill, or on mountainous roads
  • Towing a trailer, or using a camper or roof rack
  • Driving as a police vehicle, taxi, or other commercial use, or towing vehicles
  • Driving at a speed above 170 km/h
  • Frequent driving in stop-and-go conditions

If your vehicle is operated under any of the conditions listed above, you should check, replace, or refill more frequently, using the severe duty maintenance schedule instead of the normal maintenance schedule.
