Repair Procedures

Inspection

   Remove the air cleaner element.

   Check whether the air filter is excessively contaminated. If the air filter is excessively contaminated, replace the air filter element.

   If the air filter element needs to be cleaned, blow it with compressed air as shown in the illustration. [Kappa 1.0 MPI, 1.2 MPI, 1.0 FFV]

   Install the air cleaner element.

Replacement

[Kappa 1.0 MPI, 1.2 MPI, 1.0 FFV]

   Disconnect the air duct by releasing the air duct clamp (A).

   Replace the air cleaner element (A) with a new one.

   Install the duct.

[Kappa 1.0 T-GDI]

   Open the air cleaner element cover (A) by releasing the clip.

   

2. 2
   Unlock the air filter element cam (A) by turning it in the direction indicated by the arrow.

   Replace the air cleaner element (A) with a new one.

   Close the service cover by engaging the clip.
