Repair Procedures

Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the engine undercover and the right side cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - Under Hood)
  2. Remove the drive belt. (Refer to Drive Belt System - "Drive Belt")
  3. Remove the right front wheel. (Refer to Suspension System - "Wheel")
  4. Remove the crankshaft damper pulley.
    1. Using SST (09231-2M100, 09231-2J210), hold the crankshaft damper pulley (A).
    2. Remove the crankshaft damper pulley mounting bolt.

      Tightening torque: 55.9–62 N·m N·m +38–42°

    3. Remove the crankshaft damper pulley (A).
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Inspection

Check the crankshaft damper pulley for vibration when rotating, and for oil or dust buildup on the V-groove. Replace if necessary.
