Repair Procedures

Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the engine cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - Engine Cover)
  2. Remove the drive belt. (Refer to Drive Belt System - "Drive Belt")
  3. Remove the drive belt tensioner (A).

    Tightening torque: 19.6–26 N·m

  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Inspection

Inspect the belt tensioner for excessive foreign material, cracks, damage or pivot shaft binding. Replace if necessary.
