Description and Operation

Description

The driver's anchor pretensioner works in the same way as the seat belt pretensioner. It deploys after a collision. It is located near the anchor on the driver's seat and is a supplemental device for the existing short stroke. The driver's anchor pretensioner is supported by two cables and is an auxiliary device that prevents the belt from being pulled out when the seat belt is pulled toward the mounting side after a collision.
