Parking Brake Inspection

Check the parking brake travel by counting the number of "clicks" heard while fully applying it from the released position. Also, the parking brake alone must hold the vehicle securely on a fairly steep grade. If the travel is more or less than specified, have the system serviced by a professional workshop. Kia recommends visiting an authorized Kia dealer/service partner.

Travel: 5 to 7 "clicks" at a force of 20 kg (44 lb, 196 N).
