Washer Fluid Level Inspection

The reservoir is translucent, so you can check the level with a quick visual inspection.

Check the washer fluid level in the washer fluid reservoir and add fluid if necessary. Plain water can be used if washer fluid is not available. However, in cold climates use a washer solvent with antifreeze properties to prevent freezing.

Engine coolant

• Do not use radiator coolant or antifreeze in the washer fluid reservoir.
• Engine coolant may severely obstruct visibility when sprayed on the windshield and may cause loss of vehicle control or damage to paint and body finish.
• Windshield washer fluid contains some alcohol and may ignite under certain conditions. Do not allow sparks or flame to contact the washer fluid or washer fluid reservoir. Vehicle damage or occupant injury may result.
• Windshield washer fluid is poisonous to humans and animals. Do not drink and avoid contact with windshield washer fluid. Serious injury or death may result.
