What to Do in an Emergency

Tire Pressure Check

~2min read

1. After driving approximately 7-10 km or about 10 minutes (4-6 miles), stop in a safe place.

2. Connect the filler hose (3) of the compressor (clamp side) directly to the tire valve, then connect the filler hose (3) (opposite side) to the tire valve stem.

3. Connect the compressor to the vehicle power outlet using the cable and connectors.

4. Adjust the tire pressure to the recommended value. With the ignition on, proceed as follows.

- To increase inflation pressure: Turn on the compressor, position I. To check the current inflation pressure setting, turn off the compressor briefly.

✽ NOTICE

The pressure gauge may show readings higher than the actual values while the compressor is running. To obtain accurate tire readings, the compressor must be turned off.

- To decrease the inflation pressure: Press the button (9) on the compressor.

CAUTION - Tire Pressure Sensor

When using the Tire Mobility Kit containing sealant not approved by Kia, the tire pressure sensors may be damaged by the sealant. Sealant on the tire pressure sensor and wheel should be removed when replacing the tire with a new one, and the tire pressure sensors should be checked at an authorized dealer.
