Cruise Control System
The cruise control system allows the vehicle to be programmed to maintain a constant speed without pressing the accelerator pedal.
This system is designed to operate at speeds above approximately 30 km/h.
If the cruise control system remains on (CRUISE indicator on the instrument panel illuminated), cruise control may be accidentally engaged. Keep the cruise control system off (CRUISE indicator off) when cruise control is not in use to avoid accidentally setting a speed.
Use the cruise control system only when driving on open highways in good weather.
Do not use cruise control in heavy or changing traffic, on slippery (rainy, icy or snowy) or winding roads, or on roads with a 6% grade up or down.
✽ NOTICE
- During normal operation of cruise control, when the SET switch is activated or when resuming after braking, cruise control will engage after approximately 3 seconds. This delay is normal.
- To activate cruise control, press the brake pedal at least once after turning the ignition switch to the ON position or starting the engine.
WARNING: Improper use of cruise control.
Do not use cruise control when road conditions do not allow you to drive safely at a constant speed and with sufficient distance from the vehicle ahead.
