■ Engine Knocking
- Contact a Lexus dealer or authorized repairer, or another qualified and properly equipped repair shop.
- Light knocking may occasionally occur briefly when accelerating or driving uphill. This is normal and there is no cause for concern.
■ Fuel Quality Notice
- Do not use unsuitable fuels. Using unsuitable fuels will damage the engine.
- Never use leaded gasoline.
Leaded gasoline impairs the function of the three-way catalytic converter and the emission control system.
- EU region: Do not refuel with bioethanol fuel sold under designations such as "E50" or "E85", or with fuel with a high ethanol content. Using these fuels will damage the vehicle's fuel system. If in doubt, contact a Lexus dealer or authorized repairer, or another qualified and suitably equipped specialist workshop.
- Outside the EU region: Do not refuel with bioethanol fuel sold under designations such as "E50" or "E85", or with fuel with a high ethanol content.
Your vehicle can be driven with gasoline containing a maximum of 10% ethanol. Using fuel with an ethanol content of more than 10% (E10) will damage the vehicle's fuel system. Refuel only at sources where the fuel specification and quality can be guaranteed.
If in doubt, contact a Lexus dealer or authorized repairer, or another qualified and suitably equipped specialist workshop.
- Do not refuel with gasoline containing methanol, e.g. M15, M85 or M100. Using gasoline that contains methanol may cause damage to or failure of the engine.
