Vehicle Data Recording

This vehicle is equipped with an electronic module that records the following main vehicle data related to vehicle control and operation, and other driving conditions.

Recorded Data

• Vehicle status, such as engine speed or vehicle speed
• Driving conditions, such as accelerator and brake pedal operation, and information related to the environmental conditions in which the vehicle was operated
• Fault diagnosis information from each electronic module in the vehicle
• Control-related information from other control modules in the vehicle

CAUTION

Recorded data may vary depending on vehicle version and optional equipment. Voices and images are not recorded.

Data Processing

Mazda and its subcontractors may obtain and use the recorded vehicle fault diagnosis data for research and development and for quality improvement.

Mazda will not disclose or transfer the obtained data to a third party, unless:

• Consent is obtained from the vehicle owner (consent from the lessor and lessee in the case of a leased vehicle)
• The data is officially requested by police or other law enforcement authorities
• The data is processed statistically by a research institution after being processed in such a way that identification of the vehicle owner is not possible.
