Trailer power supply

~1min read
The constant supply allows you to connect accessories with a power rating of no more than 240 W, and the switched supply via the ignition switch allows you to connect accessories with a power rating of no more than 180 W.

Do not charge a trailer battery using this power supply.

  • Switching the switched power supply on and off: turn the key to position 2 or 0 in the ignition switch.

The trailer socket of your vehicle is factory-wired to provide a constant power supply as well as a switched power supply via the ignition switch.

The constant power supply is available at pin 9 of the socket.

The switched power supply via the ignition switch is available at pin 10 of the socket.

The constant power supply to the trailer is switched off when the vehicle electrical system voltage is too low, and at the latest after 6 hours.

For more information on installing the trailer electrical system, contact a qualified workshop.
