WARNING

Make sure the tow ball is locked in the desired position (folded or towing position). The indicator lamp is off.

Do not turn the unlocking knob when a trailer is attached. Otherwise, the trailer could become detached.

To tow a trailer, you must first move the tow ball to the towing position.

The unlocking knob is located behind the left-hand luggage compartment side trim.

  • Opening the cover: turn handle 1 counterclockwise, tilt cover 2 downward and remove it.

  • Pull unlocking knob 3 towards you.
  • Turn unlocking knob 3 counterclockwise as far as it will go.

The tow ball is unlocked and appears behind the bumper. Indicator lamp 4 flashes.

  • Pull the tow ball in the direction of the arrow by hand until it locks in the upright position.

Indicator lamp 4 goes out. The electrical socket extends automatically.

The message Towing device: check lock is shown in the multifunction display until the tow ball is locked.

  • Remove the tow ball cap and store it in a safe place.
  • Make sure the tow ball of the towing device is clean and either lubricated or dry (free of grease), in accordance with the trailer instructions.
