General notes

If the trailer is fitted with a 7-pin plug, you can connect it to the 13-pin socket on the tow ball using an adapter or, if necessary, an adapter cable. You can obtain these 2 components from a qualified workshop.

Installing the adapter

Make sure the cable has enough slack so that it is not pulled out on bends.

  • Lift up the socket cover.
  • Insert the plug, engaging lug 1 in slot 2 of the socket, then turn the plug clockwise as far as it will go.
  • Snap the cover back on.
  • If you are using an adapter cable, secure it to the trailer with cable ties.
