Roof rack systems
Important safety notes
WARNINGA roof rack system or ski rack that is not securely fitted, as well as a load that is not properly secured, may come loose from the vehicle.
Objects thrown forward could injure you or other persons and cause an accident. Observe the installation and operating instructions for the roof rack system or ski rack.
A load on the roof raises the centre of gravity and therefore changes the vehicle's handling. Strictly observe the maximum roof load of 75 kg. Always adapt your driving style to the road, traffic and weather conditions, especially when driving with a roof load.
Mercedes-Benz recommends fitting to the roof only roof rack systems tested and approved for Mercedes-Benz. These systems help prevent damage to the vehicle.Arrange the load on the roof rack system so that it cannot damage the vehicle, even while driving.
When a roof rack system is fitted, make sure, depending on the vehicle's equipment, that the panoramic sliding sunroof can be fully opened and the tailgate can be fully opened.
