The EASY-PACK tie-down kit in the Mercedes E-Class (4th generation, W212, 2009–2016) allows flexible securing of luggage in the cargo area. With the telescopic bar, holders and luggage straps, light to medium loads can be stored without slipping. Storage under the cargo floor keeps things orderly and provides quick access.

Components and storage

The EASY-PACK tie-down kit lets you use your cargo area flexibly. The accessories are located under the cargo floor.

The holderin the centre of the cargo rail.

Press the release buttonpress and slide the holderin the cargo railto the desired position.

  • The holderis locked in the cargo railin place.

    If necessary, fold up the tie-down eyelet.

    Luggage strap

    Use the luggage strap only to secure cargo with a maximum weight of 7 kg and dimensions that the luggage strap can hold firmly and securely.Gepäckhalter

    The cargo strap can be used to secure light loads against the side wall of the luggage compartment, preventing them from shifting.

    Installing: Insert two holdersinto the left or right cargo rail.

    Press the release buttonPress the cargo strap's release button and pull the strap out slightly.

    Insert the luggage strapinto the holdersand press the release buttonand slide it down until it clicks into place.

    Press the release buttonPress the cargo strap's release button and pull the strap out in the direction of the arrow.

    Place the cargo between the strap and the side wall of the cargo area.

    With one hand, press the release buttonon the cargo strap.

    Use your other hand to slowly let the strap rest against the cargo until it is tight.Make sure the locking buttonon the holdersis pressed.
  • The holdersare then secured in the cargo rail.

    Removal: Press the release buttonon the corresponding holderand pull the cargo strapupward to remove it.

    Telescopic bar

    The telescopic bar can be used to brace cargo against the rear seats and prevent it from shifting.

    Installation: Insert one holder into the left and right cargo railand slide it into the desired position.

    The telescopic barinto the holdersand press the release buttonpress and slide it downward until it locks into place.

    Make sure the locking buttonon the holdersis pressed.
  • The holdersare then secured in the cargo rail.

    Removal: Press the release buttonon the corresponding holderPress the release button and pull the telescopic barupward to remove it.
