Whether saloon or estate model, the storage space under the luggage compartment floor of the Mercedes E-Class (4th generation, W212, 2009–2016) provides room for the onboard tool kit and emergency equipment. The EASY-PACK folding load floor and loading sill protector make loading easier and protect the vehicle and clothing from damage and dirt.

Important Safety Notes

WARNING

If you drive with the EASY-PACK folding load floor open, objects may be thrown around and strike vehicle occupants. There is a risk of injury, particularly during braking maneuvers or abrupt changes of direction!

Always close the EASY-PACK folding load floor before driving.

NOTE

When the EASY-PACK folding load floor is fully open, do not press down on it. Otherwise, the hinges of the EASY-PACK folding load floor may be damaged.

Vehicles with B&O sound system: Do not remove the EASY-PACK folding load floor. Removing the EASY-PACK folding load floor will damage the wiring harness or amplifier, as the amplifier module is screwed to the underside of the EASY-PACK folding load floor.

Opening and closing the folding load floor

The EASY-PACK fixing kit components are located in the removable insert under the EASY-PACK folding load floor. The TIREFIT kit or spare wheel and the onboard tool kit, for example, are stored under the insert.

Opening: Open the tailgate.Grip the handleat the ribbed section, pull downwardpress.

    Pull the EASY-PACK folding load floorby the handlein the direction of the arrow into the desired position and let it engage laterally.

    Closing: Unlatch the EASY-PACK folding load floor and push it back.

    Press the EASY-PACK folding load floor downwarduntil it locks.

    Removing and installing the folding load floor

    120 position

    Remove the double roller blind.

    Removal: Move the EASY-PACK folding load floorto the 120 position and lift it out.

    Installation: Push the EASY-PACK folding load floorall the way in, move it to the 120 position, and let it engage audibly.

    Pull the EASY-PACK folding load floorforward.

    EASY-PACK loading sill protector (estate model)

    Note
    Before closing the tailgate, reattach the EASY-PACK loading sill protector to the underside of the EASY-PACK folding load floor.

    Otherwise, the EASY-PACK loading sill protector may be damaged.

    EASY-PACK-Ladekantenschutz (T-Modell)

    The EASY-PACK loading sill protector is attached with magnets to the underside of the EASY-PACK folding load floor. It prevents clothing from getting dirty and the paint from being scratched during loading.

    Open the EASY-PACK folding cargo floor.

    Using the tabrelease the EASY-PACK loading sill protectorfrom the magnets and lay it over the loading edge.

    Close the EASY-PACK folding load floor.
