Important Safety Notes
WARNINGThe safety net alone cannot retain or secure heavy items, luggage or heavy cargo. During sudden changes of direction, braking maneuvers or an accident, unsecured cargo can strike you. There is a risk of injury or even death!
Always stow items so that they cannot fly around. Secure items, luggage or cargo against sliding or tipping over, e.g. by lashing them down, even when using the safety net.If you load small items above the seat backrests, using a safety net is important. For safety reasons, always use a safety net when transporting cargo.
Damaged safety nets cannot perform their protective function and must be replaced. Contact a qualified specialist workshop.Safety net without cargo area extension

The Mercedes E-Class W212 (model years 2009–2016) features a well-thought-out airbag system. Driver, front passenger, side and window airbags provide the best possible protection in different types of accidents. They are coordinated with one another and optimally complement the seat belts.
The airbags deploy precisely depending on the type and severity of the accident. This significantly reduces the risk of injury, and the E-Class remains a benchmark for safety in road traffic.
With this system, Mercedes demonstrates how modern technology raises occupant protection to a new level.
