The engine oil life system tells you when to change the engine oil and filter. Based on driving conditions, the oil change and filter replacement interval shown may vary considerably.

In the top-level display or the combined top-level display, the remaining oil life is shown in the Vehicle Information menu.

In the mid-level display, the remaining engine oil life is shown by the indicatorcontact. The
ignition must be on, but the engine off.

The menu and functions can be selected using the buttons on the turn signal lever.

To display the remaining engine oil life:

Press the MENU button to select the Vehicle Information menu. Turn the adjustment wheel to select Remaining oil life.

The system must be reset each time the engine oil is replaced to ensure correct operation. Contact a workshop.

Press the SET/CLR button to reset. The ignition must be on, but the engine off.

When the system has calculated that the oil life has decreased, Engine oil change required or a warning code appears in the driver information center.

Have the engine oil and filter changed by a workshop within one week or 500 km (whichever comes first).
