Electronic driving programs

  • After a cold start, the operating temperature program quickly brings the catalytic converter to the required temperature by increasing engine speed.
  • The automatic N-position function automatically shifts the transmission to neutral when the vehicle is stationary, a forward gear is engaged and the brake pedal is depressed.
  • When SPORT mode is engaged, gear changes occur at higher engine speeds (except when cruise control is engaged). SPORT mode 163.
  • Special programs automatically adapt the shift points when driving uphill or downhill.
  • When starting on snow, ice or any other slippery surface, the electronic transmission control module automatically selects the highest gear.

Kickdown

If the accelerator pedal is fully depressed in automatic mode, the transmission downshifts depending on engine speed.

Overheating protection

If the transmission overheats due to high outside temperatures or a sporty driving style, engine torque and maximum speed may be temporarily reduced.
