Tyre inflation pressures must be checked on cold tyres.

If the pressure cannot be checked on cold tyres, increase the indicated pressures by 0.2 to 0.3 bar (or 3 PSI). Never deflate a hot tyre.

Vehicle fitted with a low tyre pressure warning system

In the event of under-inflation (puncture, low pressure, etc.), the warning light
illuminates on the instrument panel; refer to the "Low tyre pressure warning" section in chapter 2.

When tyres need to be replaced, only fit tyres of the same make, size, type and construction on the same axle.

They must either be identical to the original tyres or match those recommended by a Brand Representative.

Pressions de gonflage des pneumatiques

  1. tyre size fitted to the vehicle.
  2. intended driving speed.
  3. pressure recommended to optimise fuel consumption.

Note: ride comfort may be affected.

  1. front tyre inflation pressure.
  2. rear tyre inflation pressure.
  3. spare wheel inflation pressure.

Special case for vehicles operated at full load (Maximum Authorised Gross Vehicle Weight) and towing a trailer: the maximum speed must be limited to 100 km/h and the tyre pressure increased by 0.2 bar.

Refer to the "Weights" section in chapter 6.

Tyre safety and snow chain fitting: refer to the "Tyres" section in chapter 5 for maintenance conditions and, depending on the version, the conditions for fitting snow chains to the vehicle.
