Folding the backrest

Make sure the front seats are moved far enough forward.
Lower the head restraints as far as possible.
Place the seat belts in the guide slots A.
Press button 1 and fold down backrest B.
Before performing any operation on the backrest, place the belt in the belt guide A to prevent damage to it.To reinstall the backrest, follow the same procedure in reverse.
Refit the backrest and snap it into its bracket.
For safety reasons, perform these adjustments only when the vehicle is stationary. With the bench seat configured for two seats, with the small backrest B folded, use of the middle seat is prohibited because the seat belt cannot be fastened (belt buckles are not accessible).
Before performing any operation on the rear seats, check that nothing is blocking the anchorages (a passenger's body part, an animal, gravel, pieces of fabric, toys, etc.). When folding the backrest back up, check that it is locked correctly. If seat covers are used, check that they do not prevent the backrest from locking. Check that the belts are correctly positioned. The head restraints must also be readjusted.
