REMOVING THE MOTOR

Make sure the motor is at rest in its fixed position.

Disconnect the battery.

Mark the rest position of the wiper arms.

Remove:

  • the wiper arm mounting nut,

  • the wiper arm from its shaft using special tool Elé. 1294-01, after marking its position,

  • the interior door handle on two-door versions (1 screw),

  • the tailgate trim panel (clips).

Disconnect the connector (A) from the wiper motor.

Remove the three motor mounting screws (B) and remove the motor.

Special points for refitting

Make sure the motor is in the fixed park position before refitting the wiper arm.

Clean the splines on the wiper arm shaft using a wire brush.

Refit the wiper arm, positioning the blade on the mark made during removal.

Fit a new nut and tighten to 1.2 daN.m (± 20 %) using a torque wrench.
