Electric washer pump

This vehicle is fitted with a two-way electric pump (E) that supplies fluid from the same reservoir to either the front or the rear washer, depending on the power supply to the two circuits of connector (D).

There are two cases:

The hose is supplied via the white connector (1): the front washer operates.

The hose is supplied via the black connector (2): the rear washer operates.

REMOVAL - REFITTING

To access the washer pump, it is necessary to remove:

• the wiper arms using special tool Elé. 1294-01, after marking their positions,

• the cowl grille seal,

• the canopy grille, after removing the two side covers and their two screws and disconnecting the front washer hose.

When removing the washer pump (E), mark both hoses (1 and 2) before disconnecting them.

Special points for refitting

Make sure the wiper motor is in the fixed park position before refitting the wiper arms.

Clean the splines on the wiper arm shafts using a wire brush.

Refit the wiper arms, positioning the blade on the mark made during removal.

Fit new nuts and tighten to 1.8 daN.m (± 15 %) using a torque wrench.
