Petrol engines

IMPLANTATION

LOCATION

The fuel filter is located under the vehicle, in front of the fuel tank.

REPLACEMENT

It is recommended to replace the fuel filter at every full service.

WARNING: when opening the fuel circuit, protect yourself with a rag against fuel spray caused by residual pressure.

REMOVAL

Before removing any components, drain the fuel (do not pinch the lines, as this may damage them).

Remove the clips (1).

Disconnect the lines fitted with quick-connectors (2) using pliers Mot. 1265.

Remove the bolt (3) and take out the fuel filter.

INSTALLATION

Observe the direction of fuel flow (marked by an arrow on the filter).

Reconnect the lines by hand (it is not necessary to use pliers Mot. 1265).

Make sure the quick-connectors are correctly latched.

Refit the safety clips (1).
