WARNING: when opening the fuel circuit, protect yourself with a rag against fuel spray caused by residual pressure.
REMOVAL
Disconnect:
- the battery,
- the fuel pressure regulator pressure tap hose (1),
- the fuel return hose (2),
- the injector electrical connector (3).

Disconnect the fuel supply hose (4) using large-section tool Mot. 1311-06 (the fuel supply hose has a release tool attached to the quick-connector on the vehicle).

To release the quick-connectors, insert tool Mot. 1311-06 between the two prongs (A) and (B).
Press the tool to lift the two retaining claws, then pull on the connector.

Remove the two bolts (5) securing the fuel rail to the intake manifold.
Slide the fuel rail and injectors out from between the intake manifold and the cylinder head.
Remove the fuel rail from the right-hand side of the vehicle.
NOTES
The fuel pressure regulator (6) is clipped onto the fuel rail.
There is an intermediate connector (7) between the injector connector (8) and the ECU.

To remove an injector, take off the clip (9), then press the retaining tab (10) before pulling the injector out.

INSTALLATION
Replace the O-rings at the base of the injectors (if the injector has been removed, also replace the O-ring at the injector head).
To ensure the fuel supply quick-connectors are correctly latched, you should hear a "click" when they engage.
For other refitting operations, reverse the removal procedure.
