Essential special tools
Car. 1597 Trim clip removal lever for the rear cornering grab handle

To access the sunroof motor, the roof trim must be removed (see Roof trim in MR 365 - Bodywork).

The motor is located in the rear part of the roof.

REMOVAL

  • Remove:
  • the sunroof switch and its connector,
  • the courtesy light,
  • the pillar trims (see MR 365 - Bodywork).

  • Remove:
  • the front and rear grab handles using tool (Car.1597),
  • the rear clip,
  • the two rear fixings.

  • Unclip and disconnect the sunroof motor connector.
  • Remove the fixing screws (1).
  • Release:
  • the connector bracket,
  • the sunroof motor.

INSTALLATION

  • Refit in the reverse order of removal.
  • Be sure to initialise the system after refitting the motor (Chapter Power windows - Sunroof, Sunroof opening motor: Initialisation, page 87D-23).
