Front side member front section closure

This part can be partially replaced in two ways, along cut (a) or cut (b).

1 along cut (a):

• complementary operation to straightening the radiator support crossmember.
• complementary operation to replacing the radiator support crossmember.
• complementary operation to partial replacement of the front side member.

2 along cut (b):

• complementary operation to partial replacement of the front side member.

Use of the repair bench is essential.

Note: When straightening the radiator support crossmember, the following partial replacement along cut (a) is possible to gain access to the deformed area. WARNING

The cut positions given in the procedures cannot be offset; they are determined by those of the inner panels and reinforcements.

In the method described below, you will only find the descriptions and joins specific to the part concerned.

Information on related parts is covered in their respective sections (see contents).

Where spot welds cannot be made with the spot welder, they may be replaced with plug welds.
