Front side member

This part can be partially replaced in two ways, along cut (a) or cut (b): complementary operations to replacing the front side member closure for a front collision.

WARNING

The cut positions given in the procedures cannot be offset; they are determined by those of the inner panels and reinforcements.

In the method described below, you will only find the descriptions and joins specific to the part concerned.

Information on related parts is covered in their respective sections (see contents).

Where spot welds cannot be made with the spot welder, they may be replaced with plug welds.

Use of the repair bench is essential.

Note: To make the cut, it is necessary to unclip the connecting bracket.

It is not recommended to reuse the connecting bracket once unclipped; it is available from the spare parts store.
