Fault interpretation
| DF007 PRESENT OR STORED | FUEL GAUGE CIRCUIT OC: Open circuit |
INSTRUCTIONS
Conditions for applying the stored fault diagnosis: The fault is declared present after:
- Wait 2 minutes, ignition on.
Special notes: Check that the instrument panel display matches the "PR035 Fuel level" parameter.
| Check the connections of the instrument panel and fuel gauge connectors. Ensure insulation and continuity of the connections: Fuel gauge pin 1 → Pin 14 of the instrument panel red connector Disconnect the fuel gauge connector; measure the resistance between fuel gauge pins 1 and 2 (it must be between 5 Ω (full) and 350 Ω (empty)). Replace the fuel gauge if non-compliant. Check the fuel gauge installation. |

AFTER REPAIR
Carry out a system diagnosis.
Clear the stored faults.
Deal with any other faults.
| DF016 PRESENT OR STORED | OIL LEVEL SENSOR CIRCUIT OC: Open circuit |
INSTRUCTIONS
Conditions for applying the stored fault diagnosis: The fault is declared present after:
- Wait 2 minutes, ignition on.
Special notes: Check that the instrument panel display matches the actual oil level in the engine (top up if the level is incorrect).
| Check the oil level sensor installation. Disconnect the oil level sensor connector; measure the resistance between pins 1 and 2 (it must be between 3 and 20 Ω). Check the connections of the instrument panel, Power and Switching Unit, and oil level sensor connectors. Check the sensor wiring to the instrument panel via the Power and Switching Unit. Ensure insulation and continuity of the connections between:Oil level sensor pin 1 → Pin 11 of the brown (PEM) connector of the Power and Switching Unit NOTE: The Power and Switching Unit acts as a bridge between the instrument panel and the oil level sensor. Ensure continuity between pin 11 of the brown connector and pin 5 of the blue connector, and between pin 10 of the brown connector and pin 4 of the blue connector. Repair if necessary. |

AFTER REPAIR
Carry out a system diagnosis.
Clear the stored faults.
Deal with any other faults.
| DF037 PRESENT | INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTING RHEOSTAT 1. DEF: Abnormal voltage |
INSTRUCTIONS
If the fault is present only with the sidelights off, ignore it.
If the fault is still present or appears when the sidelights are switched on, deal with this fault.
Check that the "PR111 Lighting rheostat voltage" parameter is between 0 V and 8.5 V.
Vary the lighting intensity to check that the rheostat changes progressively within the range described above.
While operating the rheostat, with the sidelights on, check the voltage variation on rheostat pin 5.
Check for ground on rheostat pin 4. Repair if necessary. With the sidelights on, check for 12 V on rheostat pin 3. Carry out a diagnosis of the Power and Switching Unit if necessary. Ensure insulation, continuity and absence of parasitic resistance of the connection between: Rheostat pin 3 → Pin 6 of the PPH2 connector of the Power and Switching Unit Repair if necessary. If everything is correct, replace the rheostat.
Ensure insulation, continuity and absence of parasitic resistance of the connection between: Rheostat pin 5 → Pin 25 of the instrument panel Repair if necessary. |
| If everything is correct, contact your Techline. |
AFTER REPAIR
