Carrying items in the luggage compartment / towing (tow hitch)

Always place carried items so that their largest dimension rests against the rear seat backrest, which is the case for usual loads (Example A), or against the front seat backrests when the rear seat backrests are folded down.

If you need to place objects on the folded backrest, it is essential to remove the head restraints before folding the backrest so that it lies as flat as possible against the seat cushion.

Always place the heaviest objects directly on the floor.

Where the vehicle is equipped, use the tie-down points located on the load compartment floor. The load must be arranged so that no object can be thrown forward onto the occupants during hard braking. Fasten the seat belts of the rear seats even when there are no occupants.
