Manual air conditioning

The controls
- Air temperature adjustment
- Adjusting the fan speed
- Air conditioning.
- Air distribution in the passenger compartment.
- Defrosting/demisting of the rear window and, depending on vehicle, the mirrors.
- Air recirculation.
Switching the air conditioning on or off
Button 3 allows air conditioning operation to be enabled (indicator on) or stopped (indicator off).
Using the air conditioning:
- lowers the temperature inside the passenger compartment;
- clears condensation more quickly.
Air distribution in the passenger compartment
There are five air distribution settings. Turn control 4 to select the distribution you want.
The airflow is directed to the windscreen demist strips and the front side window demisters.
The airflow is distributed between all air vents, the front side window demisters, the windscreen demist strips and the occupants' footwells.
The airflow is mainly directed to the occupants' footwells.
The airflow is directed to the dashboard air vents and the occupants' footwells.
The airflow is directed to the dashboard air vents.

Activating air recirculation
Press button 6: the built-in indicator lights up.
In these conditions, air is taken from inside the cabin and recirculated without any outside air intake.
Air recirculation:
- isolates the cabin from outside air (driving in polluted areas...);
- cools the passenger compartment more quickly.
Adjusting the fan speed
Turn control 2 clockwise to increase the airflow into the cabin.
Ventilation in the cabin is known as "blown air". The fan determines the volume of air intake, although vehicle speed has a slight influence.
"OFF" position:
The system is switched off: the air ventilation speed in the cabin is zero (vehicle stationary). However, you may feel a slight airflow when the vehicle is moving.
Recommended demisting setting:
Turn controls 1, 2 and 4 to the position
.
This setting provides the fastest defrosting and demisting of the windscreen and front side windows.
Prolonged use of air recirculation may cause fogging on the side windows and windscreen, and discomfort due to stale air in the cabin.We therefore recommend returning to normal operation (outside air) by pressing button 6 again as soon as air recirculation is no longer needed.
Using defrost prevents air recirculation from being activated, to avoid any risk of windscreen fogging, and causes the air conditioning to switch on and the built-in indicator 3 to light up.Test yourself
