Battery Sensor Description and Operation

~1min read

Description

Vehicles have many control units that consume more electrical power. These units control their own systems based on information from various sensors. A stable power supply is important, since the sensors provide different information. The battery sensor is installed on the battery negative (-) terminal. It transmits battery voltage, current and temperature information to the ECM. Based on these signals, the ECM controls the generating voltage by duty cycle.
