Anti-Theft System

~1min read

This system helps protect your vehicle and its valuables. The horn will sound and the hazard warning lights will flash continuously if one of the following occurs:

- A door is opened without using the remote key or smart key.
- The trunk is opened without using the remote key or smart key.
- The hood is opened.

The alarm continues for 30 seconds, then the system resets. To turn off the alarm, unlock the doors with the remote key or smart key.

The theft alarm system automatically arms 30 seconds after you lock the doors and trunk. To arm the system, lock the doors and trunk from outside the vehicle using the remote key or smart key, or by pressing the button on the outside door handles while carrying the smart key.

The hazard warning lights will flash and the horn will sound once to indicate that the system is armed.

After the security system is armed, opening any door, the trunk, or the hood without using the remote key or smart key will activate the alarm.

The theft alarm system will not arm if the hood, trunk, or any door is not fully closed. If the system does not arm, check that the hood, trunk, and doors are fully closed.

Do not attempt to modify this system or add other devices to it.

Information

  • Do not lock the doors until all passengers have left the vehicle. If a remaining passenger exits the vehicle while the system is armed, the alarm will be activated.
  • If the vehicle is not disarmed with the Remote Key or Smart Key, open the doors with the mechanical key and turn the ignition switch to the ON position (for Remote Key), or start the engine by pressing the ignition switch directly with the Smart Key.
  • If the system is disarmed but the door or trunk does not open within 30 seconds, the system will re-arm.
