WARNING
Windshield Defroster
Do not use
or
position during cooling operation in very humid weather. The difference between the outside air temperature and the windshield may cause the outside surface of the windshield to fog, resulting in loss of visibility, which may cause an accident that could result in serious injury or death. In this case, set the mode selection knob or button to
position and the fan speed control knob or button to a lower speed.
- For maximum defrosting, set the temperature control to the far right (HOT) position and the fan speed control to the maximum speed.
- If warm air to the floor is required while defrosting or defogging, set the mode to the floor defrost position.
- Before driving, clear snow and ice from the windshield, rear window, outside mirrors, and all side windows.
- Remove all snow and ice from the hood and the hood air intake grille to improve heater and defroster efficiency and reduce the possibility of fogging on the inside of the windshield.
NOTICE
If the engine temperature is still low after starting, it may take a short warm-up period before the ventilation airflow becomes warm or hot.
