If your vehicle is equipped with a sunroof, you can slide or tilt the sunroof using the sunroof control switch located on the overhead console.
The sunroof can only be opened, closed, or tilted when the ignition switch is in the ON position.
The sunroof can be operated for approximately 30 seconds after the ignition key is removed or turned to the ACC or LOCK (or OFF) position.
However, if the front door is opened, the sunroof cannot be operated even within 30 seconds.
Information
- In cold and humid climates, the sunroof may not operate properly due to freezing conditions.
- After washing the vehicle or driving in rain, be sure to wipe off any water that has collected on the sunroof before using it.
WARNING
- Never adjust the sunroof or sunshade while driving. This may result in loss of vehicle control and an accident, which could cause death, serious injury, or property damage.
- Make sure that your head, other body parts, or objects do not interfere with the sunroof.
- Do not put your head, hands, or body outside the sunroof while driving to avoid serious injury.
- Do not leave the engine running and the key in the vehicle unattended. Unattended children may operate the sunroof, which may result in serious injury.
- Do not sit on the roof of the vehicle. This may result in injury or damage to the vehicle.
NOTICE
- Do not continue to operate the sunroof switch after the sunroof is fully open, closed, or tilted. Damage to the motor or system components may occur.
- When leaving the vehicle, make sure the sunroof is fully closed. If the sunroof is open, rain or snow may leak through the sunroof and wet the interior, and may also allow theft.
