Note Removal and installation are described for the left vehicle side. Follow same instructions for the right side as appropriate.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Torque wrench -V.A.G 1783

Removing

  • Fold down bar -4- and unclip cover -1- using a screwdriver.
  • Unscrew bolt -3- and remove tie-down ring -2-.

Installing

Installation is carried out in reverse order.
