PROCEDURE

Torque from the engine is transmitted to the wheels through the axle shafts, since the transmission with final drive is offset relative to the vehicle axis. The axle shafts have different lengths. In addition, the left (short) axle shaft is solid, and the right (long) one is hollow. The axle shafts are connected to the final drive and the wheels through constant velocity joints (CV joints).
