Washer system

Plain water is not sufficient for the washer fluid.

The washer fluid reservoir contains the cleaning fluid for the windshield, rear window and headlight washers*. The reservoir is located in the engine compartment, front left => fig. 226. The filler cap bears the symbol. The reservoir capacity is given in the table.

Plain water is not sufficient to clean the windows thoroughly. We therefore recommend always adding a window cleaning product that dissolves wax to the water (with antifreeze in winter).

Warning!

• Never add radiator antifreeze or other additives to the washer fluid water.
• Do not use window cleaning products containing solvents - risk of damage to paint!
