Opening angle

There are two opening angles for the tailgate. Unlock and raise the tailgate upward.

Fully opening the tailgate

To open the tailgate fully, pull it down by approximately 30 cm and release it again.

Adjusting the opening angle

You can adjust the tailgate so that when opened it first rises to a small angle or opens fully at once.

1. Fully open the tailgate.
2. To have the door first open to a small angle (position 1):

turn the bushings of both struts in the direction of the arrow until the marks align in position 1.

To have it open fully (position 2):

turn the bushings of both struts in the direction of the arrow until the marks align in position 2.

With automatic tailgate operation, the opening angle can be set via iDrive.◄
