Restoring operation after a power supply interruption

The manually released parking brake can only be returned to operation if it was released because of a power supply interruption. In other cases, normal operation of the parking brake is not guaranteed, and therefore, even with the brake applied, there is a risk of the vehicle rolling away.◄

Sequence of Actions

1. Switch on the ignition.
2. Press the button while depressing the brake pedal.

The warning lamp in the instrument cluster goes out when the parking brake is operational again.

The parking brake takes several seconds to become operational again. A noise may be heard during this process, which is normal.
