Securing Luggage

► Secure small and light items with straps, cargo nets or tie-down straps.

► For large and heavy items, special tie-down straps can be purchased from a BMW Service. They attach to the loops in the luggage compartment, see

illustration.

► Follow the instructions supplied with the tie-down straps.

To avoid endangering passengers during braking or sudden maneuvers, always stow and secure luggage carefully.

Do not exceed the maximum permissible gross vehicle weight or axle loads. This not only reduces vehicle safety but also violates legal requirements.

When placing heavy and hard objects in the cabin, ensure they are securely fastened so that they do not shift during hard braking or maneuvering and do not endanger passengers.

Attach tie-down straps only to the loops shown in the illustration. Using the ISOFIX anchorages to secure cargo is prohibited due to the risk of damaging them, see page 58.◄
